Then pursue Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) which is benefited for you to work in the pharmaceutical industries such as Sun Pharmaceutical, Lupin Ltd, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories etc. The course structure of bachelors’ degree includes academic and practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment. Then you can also do Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), a six-year course which includes five years of clinical and community-based theoretical study, with ward rounds and a one-year internship in hospitals. Students who are pursuing Bachelors in Pharmacy can take lateral entry direct to the 4th year of Pharm. D, on the merit basis.

Secondly, you can also Pursue Postgraduate Education in Pharmacy where you can do Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm), which has the advantage to work in the Research and Development field. You can be Pharmaceutics who turns drugs into medicines, Pharmaceutical Analysis who separates the components of a mixture and determines the structure of various chemical compounds, Pharmacologist, Industrial Pharmacist, who involve in manufacturing, development, marketing, and distribution of drug/medicinal products including quality assurance of these activities.

To become above, one can pursue Doctor of Pharmacy program which is a bridge between traditional B.Pharm and regular Pharm.D by advancing professional skills and career options in clinical practice and research. The duration of the program is 2 years plus 1 year of internship. Also, you can pursue PhD in Pharmacy, which is highly beneficial for people looking to build a career in research. The minimum eligibility for Ph.D. is Masters in Pharmacy. The duration of the program is minimum 3 years.
